Hey I've contacted TheJWittz and hopefully he'll be willing to help me out with this.
I don't really have a goal for the amount of people who need to sign this yet, but seeing as Nintendo is huge, they would need loads of signatures, enough to make them see that there is a demand for these games and that it is worth they're time to supply them.
Now just to make clear about what my petition is about, because I was looking at similar ones but they're not quite what I want,
I am NOT looking for a remake, the likes of soulsilver and heartgold come to mind, not that I don't care about them, they are good games in their own right.
No I am ONLY asking for a re-release of the original games for those who are nostalgic or just curious to see what they were like but are unable to play them conveniently or even legally.
Anyway thats all and please read my 1st post and sign my petition if you agree.

Hello internet, I am Will Burke and I am making a petition
I was watching a video on a channel called THEJWittz on youtube, he was discussing a Pokemon app nintendo had recently released on iOS, and thinking about future apps nintendo could make, the main point being re-releasing ye olde Pokemon games on to app stores or even as dlc on their DS consoles or something like that.
The main point he made that moved me to do this is that Pokemon games such as blue, red, yellow all the way up to leaf green and fire red have gone out of print, so the only way to get them is via 2nd hand, now there's nothing wrong with that, but the cartridges that the games are played with die after time, something to do with a battery, so thats right, all those games have an expiry date, each year there ate less and less available Pokemon games and I don't want there to come a year when there is no way to play Pokemon. Yes I know there are emulators out there that work fine but Nintendo states that they are illegal. Which isn't fair, these games are becoming extinct and nintendo are saying we're not allowed do the last viable option.
So this is my intention, we let nintendo know how we feel, tell them we love these old games and we'd be happy to buy them in a convenient legal way either on the app stores out there or as DLC on their DS
